I took a little trip over to Suicide Dollz

A few days ago I went over there and looked around. I have to say that I dunno, maybe it's my general Meh mood lately, but it seems like to me that everyone is making a lot of the same thing. There wasn't a lot I wanted over there. I did pick up a few things though and here's an outfit I made from a couple of my purchased.

These leggings, lol. The minute I saw them I knew I wanted them but somehow I did not notice the way they dip down in the back. I don't usually indulge in back cheek flashing but, here you go, Enjoy! Funnily enough, the leggings are by Cheeky! It is to be found @ Suicide Dollz, however,  until the event closes.

I've paired them with this cute top  by Vendetta called Cruella's top. The ruffle bit is a separate modifiable attachment so you can get it to fit how you like it. Again this item is at the Suicide Dollz event til it closes.

I'm being a little mean here, lol, cause my shoes are one of the pairs offered by House of Hucci at the March 21Shoe event. They are no longer available, but I really wanted to wear them and show them off. So, all I can say is, mark your calendars for the 21st of April. For one day, several designers will offer an exclusive two for one shoe set. Here's the website if you want more info on the event.

Anyway, these are called the Talasea sandal and are made for Slink's high mesh  feet. I really really hope that Hucci will be releasing these in more colors cause they are really pretty.

I was feeling nostalgic so I'm wearing an older hair by Truth called Ricci. I don't even know if it's still in the shop but it's still one of my favorite styles with the color changeable streaks etc. I'd really love it if Mr Hawks revisited some of these older styles in mesh. And added a little flexi to the mix.

My other accessories are older too, except for my earrings. The bangles are by Boom - Bangled Mess - Lipstick. The necklace is by A & M, part of the Messed Memory Wire set in Magenta. I tinted it a bit to make it a darker shade of pink. The shop no longer has an inworld location, the link points to their Marketplace store. My earrings are by Pomposity. I am  coming to really enjoy the items from this store and look for new designs often. These are the Phat Hooker earrings, which are color change on touch.

I'm wearing a brand new skin though, the much talked about and really gorgeous Quiana skin by The Skinnery. It's still  only available at Skin Fair for a few more days. I'm wearing this in the Honey tone.

I think she's beautiful and realistic and has a lot of charm and character. I especially love the nose for some reason. The Skinnery is located on Sim 2 @ Skin Fair.  The event lasts through the 30th so you still have time to go look around and grab yourself a great skin.

The skin comes with variations of cleavage, eyebrows, Tango and Lush appliers, face glow, blush and a modifiable set of lip tattoos so you can make your own lipsticks. It also comes with a couple of clear gloss layers. As I said, I really love her so I hope you'll check her out!

And that's it for me for now. Hope you enjoyed the post! Thanks for reading!

Why are you like this - Appliers no mod, really?

This is an opinion. Everyone has one. Don't have to agree.

The other day I made a quick tutorial on how to take out the config notecards in azz appliers and put them in ghetto booty appliers so you can wear those items.

Today as I was getting dressed, I found that the applier for the pants I wanted to wear was made NO MOD. What that means is that I couldn't take the notecard out to put it in my Booty Applier.

Now. I'm not going to name names because that's rude and I'm not a rude person.

But I gotta tell you, these jeans, I had purchased almost every color at a price that was not tiny. Not the highest but not the tiniest either. And having this designer do this really made me angry. And to  be honest, it made me feel as if this was petty. Even though I have a preference for what booty I like best, I don't go around telling people what booty to wear. I give my opinion and let that be that. But to prevent me from wearing your garment with the booty of my choice? That's mean. Especially since you are not making an applier for the butt I like best.

And being mean, that makes kittens sad.  Photo from here.

Needless to say, this incident has made me less inclined to shop at that store again. Your mileage may vary.

And that's all she wrote. Back to the fashion soon. <3 thanks for reading.

Edited to add: Let me be clear. I have no problem with the config card itself being made no mod or no copy if the designer wants to protect the uuid that's written on it. That's their choice. I've even mentioned that in the tutorial I cited above. What I don't like is making the applier OBJECT no mod so that I can't take out the card to use it in another applier. And I would only want to take the card out in cases where the designer does not make an applier for the mesh butt I want to wear.

70 lindens or less, pretty in pink

My friend Sugarr has done a new post on her freebies and cheapies blog. Here's a peek.

Check out her blog for the scoop on the prices and whereabouts on all the goodies.

Cinderella dressed in "Yella"! - Skin Fair part 2 - Glance Skins

Cinderella dressed in yella,
Went upstairs to kiss her fella.
By mistake she kissed a snake,
How many doctors will it take?
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, etc.

Back many long years ago, that was a rhyme that my friends and I used to jump rope to, it came into my head when I was making a title for this post.

I'm showing a beautiful skin from Glance at Skin Fair with this outfit.

I'm wearing the Aina skin in skin tone 4 with brown brows. I love the classic chic beauty of this skin, she's so gorgeous and sophisticated, in my humble opinion.. The moles I've added are from the Jade skin pack from PXL at Skin Fair. But they look just as good on Aina. :)

This adorable and sexy dress is from Graffitiwear. I'm becoming a real fan of the various offerings there. It's called the Yellow  Birdsong dress. It comes with appliers, plus a modesty layer etc in case you need them. The skirt fits very nicely in my opinion. I went with all gold accessories to match it.

I'm wearing hair by Milk here,  it's the Star Child hair which I bought in the Essentials pack. I love the side swept hair and the way it settles gently over the  shoulder.
My hair rose is from a head band by Le Fil Casse and modded, making the band part transparent and retexturing/coloring the rose part to match my dress.

The hip belt is an offering at Collabor88 by Maxi Gossamer - the Tokyo Party Night hip chain. I set it to gold and white because I wanted to loosely match it with my other accessories. It has several other texture options, however.

I'm wearing a gorgeous jewelry set by Cae at the Liaison Boutique called Perula The set includes the necklace and earrings I'm showing here plus another necklace in a longer length. You also get a hud with several metal, pearl and gemstone choices. I stayed with gold, white and diamond.

My shoes are also a Collabor88 item, this time by Hucci. I chose the toast color with the gold studs to coordinate with the rest of my outfit. These are the Riverton sandals for Slink High feet.

Nail polish appliers are by Fishy Strawberry, the Contrast set, using the gold selection. I'm wearing bracelets from Eye Candy, The owner's profile says that she's leaving sl for a while so I think these are no longer available though the link does go to her marketplace shop. The set is called Hearts and Chains in gold.

And that's all she wrote. Hope you all like the post.

How to make Phat Azz/Cute Azz appliers work for Ghetto Booty...

I thought I'd do a little something different because I've seen a lot of friends and group members talking about the difference between these butts and also how to use these appliers with Ghetto Booty. It's explained in the notecards that come with Ghetto Booty but, sometimes seeing pictures makes it easier to understand, so here goes.

**Couple of Important Notes. The Ghetty Booty comes in 3 versions now, all have demos.

V1 is made for a size similar to the Phat Azz.

V2 is made for a size similar to the Cute Azz, with a size 0 body fat and a size 0 belly. I actually cheated and got away with about a size 3 body fat but your mileage will vary.

V3 I have not tried but it's a horse of another color.

At the U L u k i e shop where Ghetto Booty is sold, you will also see a free designer applier kit. I bought one and I use it to make my ghetto booty appliers as it's just easier to start with a totally fresh applier every time.

Here's a look at my inventory:

You can see the applier kit, plus my various appliers that I've made and that I've labeled them so I know what the heck it is when I want to wear that item again.

On the floor there you can see an example "Azz" applier and also an example Booty applier.

Now you can see that I have my edit window open on the Azz applier and you can see the content tab. In the content tab, if it's skin it will say config_skin on the notecard. If it's pant it'll say config_pant, if it's under pant it'll say config_underpant.

Now, what you want to do is you want to take that config notecard and slide it into your inventory. It's smart to try to put it in the folder of the outfit you're trying to set up the applier for, but just somewhere you can find it. I've seen these cards sometimes no copy, sometimes no modify and sometimes like this just plain. So be careful you don't lose the card.

In the screen cap above, you can see that now the notecard is in the inventory folder, and I'm now editing the Booty applier. If you are taking a new applier like I suggested above, it already has a notecard in it. You will need to delete that, as you see here.

Now you can see I've taken the old notecard out, and put the config pant card in. You can also see the local chat where the applier tells me first that it can't find a notecard, when I take the old one out. Then it says it has the azz notecard and tells me it's ready for shipping, when I put the config card in.

At this point, I go back to the general tab on the Booty applier, and name it something to match the dress or pant or skin or whatever that I just made this applier for. I make sure to say it's pant or underpant layer too so I know exactly what this is. Then I take it back into inventory, wear and click to apply.

And that's all there is to it. I hope this helps make it more clear!

The house I'm in, in these pictures is by Funky Junk, a prefab builder I love.  It's the Sandpiper Cottage.

Skin Fair! - part 1 - The Sugar Garden Eun-Seo

Well, I ventured out to Skin Fair and promptly overloaded my brain with all the many different looks and creative expressions of this ephemeral thing we call beauty. It's three sims worth of goodness, my dears, and you can grab a large number of demos from the Skin Addiction group notices to save you some time. However if you're like me, that will just make things harder because there's so much good stuff there.

The link above will take you to the Skin Fair official web page where you can find a map and slurls to the event. It lasts from the 14th, yesterday, until the 30th.

As it says there, please DO strip down in terms of scripted objects etc. MODA, one of the sponsors of the event has offered a script free outfit including a mesh hair as a gift which you can grab in the notices of the group mentioned above or from a board at the event. I wore part of that outfit, the pants and shoes and hairbase, and an older hair of mine I could strip the script out of easily and had no problems navigating the fair and passing the script counters at the entrance to the event. I also used the built in ao that firestorm has and just dropped in a walk and a stand, and used that rather than my regular ao, so I didn't have to walk like a duck and still could be low script.

But now, let me show you the first skin I bought. In a sense this is new to me, since I have always felt that The Sugar Garden's skins were a little too doll like for my taste. But I really liked this offering and so here you go. I am wearing this in tone E. Please note that you do have to go to the main store and grab the appliers because they don't come with the skin. You do get tons of brow options, a tintable beauty mark layer, tintable freckles, two body types and busty or non busty options.

Her face is just so sweet, it's irresistible. I'm also a Kpop fan and the name Eun Seo rang bells with me. It made me wonder if the name might be after Kpop idols? Like Eunji from APink or Seohyun from Girl's Generation?  Just a wild thought. Anyway, she's precious and I love her. I know it's the style to show off the body with new skins but I'm just going to leave that to you going and trying it on yourself.

I went today and picked up the V2 of the Ghetto Booty which I'm wearing here, little bit  less junk in the trunk in this version, little bit less thickness in the thighs. It's made for a 0 body fat/0 belly size avi but I cheated a little with about 3 on the body fat slider and thought it still looked fine. I put it on  before I put the alpha layer on and the main differences I saw between it and the avatar body was curvier more realistic thighs and the same for the derriere.

I'm wearing clothing from Sn@tch. As  I mentioned to my great happiness, Sn@tch has begun making Ghetto  Booty applier clothing and these jeans are actually in the riot vendor. So if you get some friends together you could snag a whole pack of colors with the cuffs and the applier for the GB (or system layers) for around 50L

The top with included tango hud is also in a riot vendor with a bunch of colors available for a tiny price with enough people gathered. I really love the sweet texture collar on the top as well as the sculpted sleeves that ... like the sculpted pant cuffs make these items look finished. I cannot stress enough that I really wish more designers making applier inclusive clothing would not skip the little details like this. Small touches can have a big impact and make the outfit look finished properly.

The one problem I had with wearing these two pieces as a set is that there's no underpant applier for the GB so that the shirt  looks properly tucked in. It's no big deal and certainly can be worn like this with a little bit of tummy showing, I just mention in the interest of completeness.

The hair I'm wearing here is from Eater's Coma. It's Hair #23 in Chestnut and I can tell already it's going to be a firm favorite. I just love how it sits on the head and against the shoulders.

I'm wearing a hairbase with it from Illmatic, the smoothed baby hairs base in Chestnut that just so happens to match very well. You can't get these bases in singles, you have to buy the whole pack but I think it's so worth it to give that little extra touch.

My jewelry is from Izzie's. This is the Butterfly Jewelry set in Creme which is on offer at the Liaison Boutique. There are other colors available but I picked this creme color to pick up the browns and ivories in the rest of the outfit. It matches so well, there are even butterflies in the print on the jeans!

The set comes with earrings, bracelets, rings, and the necklace in three lengths. I'm wearing the medium length here.

I also just want to mention real quick that my nail polish is from elephante poses. The shop is having a sale on selected poses, cosmetics and nail appliers - half off! This is from the Cruel Summer set and I used the same polish on my toes as well.

Hopefully this picture shows you how pretty and delicate this jewelry set is and how nice these nail polish appliers are. I really love them both!

Incidentally all my poses for this post are from elephante as well, but I do want to mention that another pose shop is having a sale also, Exposeur, so lots of great poses on offer for cheap this weekend from both places.

I'm wearing Slink hands and feet of course, the casual set for my hands and the high feet. My shoes are by Hucci, the new Payson sandals.  Here's a detail pic so you can see how awesome these are.
